For survival, you've sacrificed your vision,
Turning the knife to those who need us the most,
An immoral choice to indulge in ignorance
This is your choice
Turn a blind eye to the suffering and pain,
Our bodies nothing more than a mass grave.
Broken backs, broken skin, broken families
No lost sleep when you don't hear them scream.
Only a victim of our gluttony,
Their sacrifice so far from our minds.
No longer see life as a commodity,
There are still stains we cannot wash clean.
The stains remain,
Although my body is not a grave.
Conscious of a world outside of my own,
Conscious of my actions and the pain they prolonged
There's a difference between want and need
(the choice you make is between life and greed)
The free are failing the weak.
We refuse to believe,
That life as a commodity,
Is anything but failure.
Knockout debut from a Buffalo, New York-based hardcore band who like their riffs sick, their drums fast, and their choruses sticky-sweet. Bandcamp New & Notable Mar 28, 2024
